About this Lunch & Learn

This Lunch & Learn training resource can be used at a time and place to suit the practice, either for all staff or a group of newly employed staff. It is also ideal for using as part of the induction process.

It gives an overview of the current NHS structure (Jan 2023) and how general practice fits into this. It is deliberately reasonably simple, not going into too many details on each slide, but rather leaving the presenter to add in as much detail as they wish, particularly about their own practice.

By the end of the training, all attending should be aware of a brief history of the NHS, the key organisations and structures, and how primary care and general practice sit within these structures.

Certificates of attendance are provided as part of the package, and don’t forget to log your learning points & reflections as part of your CPD. CQC are particularly keen to see any evidence of your learning and how you apply it.

You can access the files of any purchased package as often as you like from your Wessex LMCs account. We routinely maintain packages to keep them up-to-date. We recommend, therefore, that you don’t save your own versions, as these will not be updated automatically.
