CQC

Pre CQC support sessions – support at your practice, for your practice

Practice Index can provide support to enable practices to prepare effectively for any future CQC assessment. They offer a free initial screening call to gain an understanding of your specific requirements and discuss the best course of action. Following the call, the Practice Index team can arrange to visit your practice and carry out a pre-assessment advisory visit, which includes:

  • Interviews with the management team, non-clinical staff and allied health professionals
  • A review of premises, incorporating health and safety, emergency equipment, and infection prevention control measures
  • Opportunistic training or role-play scenarios in key areas such as complaints, candour and safeguarding
  • The provision of a summary of findings for each of the three groups interviewed and for the premises, identifying actions required to achieve compliance

This process helps practices effectively prepare for any future CQC assessment.

Training Hubs

These provide the infrastructure for multi-professional training and education in primary care to support recruitment, retention and return of all staff groups. Training hubs bring together NHS organisations, community, local authorities and education providers to deliver a much broader education platform than the more traditional single approach.
